Hello Mazda friends!
Mazda is very excited about its North American debut of the MX-5 Miata at the New York Autoshow from March 25 to April 26th. MAZDA'S ON FIRE....
On April 4, 2005, Mazda will load up the 2006 MX-5 Miata and leave the New York Autoshow on the back of a fire truck for a cross country drive for a worth while cause that will arrive in Las Vegas on April 24th, 2005 . The back of the truck will be cut out and surrounded by see-thru glass so that the Miata is being displayed at all times along it's journey. Mazda will be making several stops along the way to drop off donations at local Fire stations (1 per city), to benefit the Local Fire Education Fund. The locations that have been selected are as follows: Washington DC, Atlanta, Tampa, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Denver and Chicago.
The firm dates are still in process. This is a great opportunity for local clubs to see and sit in the new MX-5 Miata and help a worthy cause. There will be local media at each location to capture the potential Miata Enthusiasts as they caravan along this truck carrying the Next Generation Miata. Enthusiast clubs can even present a donation check if they would like to embrace the charity aspect
of this event. We are looking for a volunteer in each city to be our main "Enthusiast Contact". These volunteers will also be named on our website and would be responsible for corresponding with interested participants.
Best Regards,

Welcome to the new year from MiataFun and all the best wishes for the coming year. We have already received runs for this year up to May on our events list! Wow now that's really planning ahead. But then so many of your clubs put on some of the most enjoyable runs. We noticed this year two clubs had Hangover runs! Sounds like a club yearly event. I know SOCALM has done this event now for about 8 years. Lead by Zack Broadbent of SOCALM.
Among the events listed you will find that this year is the "California-Oregon" "Mountains to the Sea Run" The third run on the "California-Oregon" Series. Each year more cars join in for the whole trip of 10 days, Will YOU? Last year we had 8 Miata Clubs join us along the way. What fun that was sharing roads and stories. What sights you get to see on a leisurely trip to National Parks and other sights
We must mention the SJVMC Poker Run, This year it falls on my birthday - Cool - No presents please, just come and enjoy a fun event that supports charities in the San Joaquin Valley. (P.S. we have had two of the winning hands in the last two years). But believe me it is all luck of the Irish 8^)
So check us out, let everyone know that they can find things to do across the country, and sometimes other countries too!
Again happy new year and remember, Drive safely and enjoy the little cars that take us to places we have never gone before!

Greetings Miata Enthusiasts!
I just wanted to share with everyone how excited I am for the upcoming "Miatas in Moab" event! We have already filled up the Best Western Canyonlands Inn all 77 rooms
yep, the entire hotel will be full of Miata lovers and we are rapidly booking the extra 30 rooms held for our event at the River Canyon Lodge. We already have over 1/3 of the rooms
booked there! At today's monthly club luncheon the "Miatas in Moab" souvenir shirts were unveiled! I was so thrilled with them that I bought 3 items Myself! This time around we are trying to offer more styles and colors to choose from and we hope that you will all order early and have your shirts shipped to
you so you can wear them between now and the time of the event. The proceeds from the sale of the shirts will be used to provide prizes and refreshments at the event. You can order your shirts and check out pricing and shipping details on the Miatas in Moab website. www.teamzoom.net/miatasinmoab
I am currently working on gaining more sponsorship from dealerships and auto repair shops. Be sure to check out our "sponsors page" to see who has so generously offered to help make this event as fun and successful as the
first one! If you know of any fellow enthusiasts who have not yet signed up for the event, tell them it's not too late! We still want to see more participants! The more the merrier! Check the website every now and again , I'll be working on an itinerary and we will have an "activities" page posted. Keep
in mind the "flavor" of this event. . . lots of "miatitude" and a dose of sponteniety! I won't have every minute of your day planned for you, but we will have some drives scheduled and "drive leaders" lined up. If YOU are interested in leading a drive be sure to let Me know so I can be sure firm up the details before the event.
Thanks in advance for your participation in this event. I know we will all
have a wonderful time!
See you in May!
